A close call yesterday as Taylor Lautner and a friend were walking around in Los Angeles, going to get something to eat while discussing upcoming tryouts, when Lautner bent over to retie his shoe.
They immediately heard the sound of gunfire and of something hitting a wall twice just on the other side of Lautner.
"I really freaked out", stated a badly shaken Lautner. "I would have been hit had I not bent down to tie my shoe. We immediately turned around and went back up the street from where we came."
Patrick Bandy, the friend, stated that they have no idea why someone would fire at Lautner.
"Taylor Lautner is one of the nicest people I have ever met and we have been close friends for three years now."
Los Angeles police now believe that the two had been talking about their upcoming schedules and had gotten off the right street for the cafe that they were looking to find.
"They had strayed over into a gang area or near a gang area", stated Sgt. Alex Luiz. "At first we thought it was a warning shot or shots as we pulled out two bullets, but they were about head high. The shooter meant business."
After getting all the facts in, Taylor now believes that the person shooting at him is a mental case and has been watching too many movies.
"The L.A. Police Department have now told me that both bullets were silver."
