Epic Oscars Ceremony Expected

The most expensive and longest Oscars ceremony in history is expected this year with creative control and a budget of $1.2trillion handed to "Avatar" director, James Cameron.

The extra budget, syphoned off the US government stimulus package as a thank you to Hollywood for its continued support of the Democrats, will be used to create a CGI-enhanced red carpet and the creation of a small blue planet from which host, William Shatner, will proclaim the winners.

Cameron's selection was not without controversy as the director, who once famously tried to drown Leonardo di Caprio, is also a nominee in 25 categories including Best Budget, Best Use of The Colour Blue and Best New Language.

British involvement is expected to be limited to a couple of Best Supporting Actor nominees and the inevitable winning of the Best Film Made With Playdo and A Budget of £5. A poor set of nominations has led the BBC to scale back its presence at the ceremony this year to 20 presenters and a full withdrawal of Jeremony Clarkson.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
