MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre had just barely gotten out of the dressing room shower after soundly beating the Dallas Cowboys 34-3, when this reporter asked him to comment on the rumor that he may consider running for the governor of Minnesota.
Favre, smiled and said that it is not a rumor. He stated that last week he talked to his good friend and ex-wrestler, the former governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura.
He said that Jesse had suggested that because he has become the most popular person in Minnesota that he consider running for the Minnesota governorship.
Ventura told Brett that the job pays very well. He'll get 18 weeks paid vacation per year and he gets to live in a fabulously luxurious $3.2 million mansion, with maids, butlers, chefs, gardeners, a Hooters type mansion waitress, electricians, and a live-in plumber.
Jesse also told him that he will have access to literally hundreds of full-length motion pictures that have not even come out yet. Plus he will be able to download as many MP3's as he wants since he will fall under the U.S. Governor's Rules and Regulations Immunity Internet Clause.
Favre has said that if the Vikings win the Super Bowl he will retire from the NFL and run for governor. He smiled and added that if the Vikings do not win the Super Bowl, then he will retire and come back and keep retiring and coming back until the Vikings do win the "Big One."
