In an awesome example of Karma, the Daily Mail have today claimed that the national outpouring of hatred and vehement anti-mail sentiment, sparked by their recent "entirely innocent" homophobia against the late Stephen Gateley, was entirely drummed up by publicity seekers and nasty little narrow-minded people with an axe to grind.
In a scene reminiscent of last year's Mail-inspired witch hunts against Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand, the public have massed as one against the Julius Streicher inspired right wing bog-roll substitute.
Russell Brand was asked for a comment today, but was too busy smothering his body in honey and rolling in fivers, so instead we asked Andrew Sachs for his thoughts.
Sachs, 88 and a loveable Grandfather of 35, said, "Daily Mail, Fuck 'em !"
