"Yeah, Saddam...It's George...I was just foolin', man, Uday and Qusay are fine...

(SP)-- Top White House Officials announced earlier this week that President Bush has agreed to provide his voice for one of the puppets on the popular Comedy Central phone prank show 'Crank Yankers.'

"Not many people know this," said a White House Aide, "But Dubbya is quite a prankster. Tony Blair still falls for 'pull my finger.' every time. So when producers contacted the president about making some phony calls, he jumped all over it.

"It was hilarious," said Jimmy Kimmel, 'Crank Yankers' co-creator, "Adam (Corrola) and I got George all liquored up and just let him go at it. There is a particularly funny bit where he calls the Premier of China and tries to order some General Tso's Chicken. But the best was when he called Saddam and apologized, then offered to let him be President of Iraq again...Hussein was really pissed when George started laughing and said it was a gag."

When asked why the President would make such a potentially controversial move so close to the November election, a spokesperson cited the appearance of former presidential candidates Al Gore and Bob Dole on Saturday Night Live. "Those guys didn't show that they had a sense of humor until after the election," said the spokesman, " the President was to show people what a funny guy he is before November. Take that whole 'weapons of mass destruction' gag...hilarious!"

Producers of the show said that Bush was delightful to work with, however he did exhibit what was described as 'an unnatural suspicion' of his puppet likeness, and was heard on several occasions to mutter to his secret servicemen "I don't trust anyone made of felt, I don't care if he is a television star." Sources also said that the President required some instruction as to how to operate a phone.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
