Rock and Roll superstar Noel Gallagher has now confirmed that he is quitting Oasis and what had occurred to cause his decision.
Noel, 42, bought a majority share holding in the high street clothing store Oasis in 1999. It was described at the time as him seeking to extend his portfolio, which consisted of 3 fast food chains, 6 music store chains and a stationery store.
In describing the decision, "It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer".
Liam Johnson is of course the clothing designer which Noel had struck up such a successful relationship. Their joint clothing designs (including the acclaimed "Man City Blue Sock" range).
Gallagher described in an interview how Mr Johnson has been recently ignoring the guitarists suggestions for designs.
Noel will however be appearing with his band, in Paris later this week.
