Johnny Depp and Ralph Fiennes are the first two stars to sign up for a live-action remake of "Top-Cat", announces Crud Pictures from LA. Fiennes is expected to take the part of Officer Dibble, after Jack Nicholson dropped out due to illness.
Other movies announced this week include "The Obama Story" with Denzel Washington; "Hudson Hero" about the Hudson river plane crash (Mickey Rourke slated); "Abba in Russia" (documentary with Vladimir Putin); "Lumberjack" with Catherine Deneuve.
There is also a typically English film released this week. "Leave my shed alone!" is a comedy starring Roger Moore and Kate Winslet, described by producers as "Just like an old Ealing comedy. But not as funny".
