Health and Safety officials are set to ban the use of anvils in all cartoons.
Mr Christopher Lod from the organisation 'Safety in Cartoons' has issued the statement. 'We at S.I.C would like the complete ban of Anvils from cartoons. We feel that the incident of an anvil falling on top of a cartoon character has to be stopped, both for the sake of the cartoon characters, and any copycat incidents that might happen as a result'.
The new laws apply to the use of mousetraps, setting traps where a piano falls, the use of drawing pins, pokers, guns, and drawing false doors onto the sides of cliffs for people to run into.
Mr Lod continued: 'We can't legislate for everything though. We still think we will see people trying to run through the air, or flapping their arms like wings, when they open a door on an airplane'.
