Two talented piano-playing songbirds are talking about recording an album together.
Alicia Keys and Norah Jones are in the process of cutting a new album in which they'll honor singing piano legends Elton John and Billy Joel. "It's an honor to record with such a talented artist like Norah," Keys said.
Jones is equally ecstatic. "Alicia is my best friend, and we'll do everything we can to make this new album a success," she said.
Details on the album are sketchy, but there'll be some notable changes in some of the songs. For example, in a duet off Joel's Piano Man, the song title is changed to Piano Girl, and the lyrics are changed accordingly: "Sing us a song, you're the piano girl..." comes to mind.
Keys says she owns Jones' albums, and her counterpart is jokingly planning to call her next solo album The Diary of Norah Jones. Jones is also a big fan of Keys, owning both of her albums as well.
This three-disc set will also be promoted in a secret worldwide tour to start sometime next fall.
