Another Star Wars movie is in the works. This one, to be an animated film, will be titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars and will take in the time frame between the second and third Star Wars films. It will both kick off an animated series and set the stage for a new live action television series.
In this movie, Senator Jar Jar Binks will command a team of young Jedi Knights in their fight against Count Doku, the Trade Federation, and other enemies of the force. He will be ably aided by Blink, the Ewok Commander, and a very young Chewbacca. C-3PO and R2-D2 will assist with robotic intelligence and comic relief in the series.
Said Lucas, "I originally intended to name this Star Wars: Return of the Merchandising, but the name was too obvious. I plan on making at least a billion dollars off of the tie ins and buying all of the advertising time on television for one month. During that time, everything will focus on tie-ins to my films and you won't have to watch any political commercials."
