Niagara Falls, New York (The Paleface Press) - Rumor has it that the 2007 Native American Music Awards show (or NAMMY's) could generate sufficient interest from mainstream media to power a handful of incandescent light bulbs.
Set for Saturday, October 6th at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, this year's NAMMY's may not be able to compete with other fancier programs such as American Idol or Canadian Idol. But what the annual awards show lacks in widespread popularity, it more than makes up for in content.
A partial list of nominees this year include: 'Give Back the Land That You White People Stole' by John Hawkfeather; 'We'll Have the Last Laugh on Those Diseased Europeans' by David Blackhorse; and 'Please Squander Your Money at Our Casinos' by Joseph Runningbear.
Due to the controversial tone of this year's awards show, many advertisers are now reconsidering their previous commitments.
