TORONTO (Buzz Cut News) - The Toronto International Film Festival (or TIFF for short) kicked off Wednesday with film luminaries descending upon the city from all over the globe. Toronto, which derives its name from the native Huron word for 'drive-in movie theater', has been hosting the event since 1976.
This year's "Oscar-buzz" movies include: Young People F*cking (an adorable film about a group of geriatric snowbirds discovering alien beings who then promise them youthful immortality & starring Steve Guttenberg), Corn In My Turd (director David Cronenberg's eagerly-anticipated latest introspective piece), and the unedited eight-hour documentary Time for a Change (which follows a parking meter maid as she works her shift over the course of a single day).
Sadly, Spoof! (the Movie) did not make the cut for screening at this year's festival due to lack of interest.
