This week ITV1 announced a new show to be broadcast next month, in which thousands of contestants are chosen in front of a celebrity panel of judges, to find the next Ant and Dec.
ITV1 producer, Mr. Foutaise said, "This show will be like nothing you've seen before, hundreds of thousands will get the chance to be the new loveable Geordies."
Mr. Foutaise continues enthusiastically, "In the final, well that something special; We'll actually see Ant and Dec killed in front of a live studio audience, the death chosen by viewers of course, and the winners will wear their hides like kings (laughing) the kings of Saturday night TV that is."
A deal for the duo, which is said to be in the millions, is said to be a pretty safe one by ITV1 bosses.
BBC1's Head of Entertainment reacted to the news with great confidence, with their own celebrity version of the show to be broadcast a week later.
Ant & Dec 2.0 starts on June 16th at 7:30PM on ITV1.
