Britney Spears has been asserting her independence as a single woman and mother the last few months. Since her split with Kevin Federline, Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead, has been her motto.
Young girls that considered Britney a role model when she had that "record company manufactured image", as the squeaky clean, in Catholic School girl garb, performer, should applaud Britney's new attempt at finding her own image.
A image is a difficult thing to achieve at best, it seems Britney is trying a variety of thing until she settles on something that suits her new single girl on the go lifestyle.
It takes courage and conviction to try something new on your own and Britney has jumped in with both feet. For this effort she's mercilessly criticized by the press and her fans.
So what if she vomits all over herself, we've all been there. So what if she passes out drunk on a table, we've all done it. So what if her vagina occasionally fall out, we've all been there, except without cameras. So what if she ends up in some strippers borrowed underwear, we've all paid to do that. So what if she pitchforks her children and sacrifices them to Poseidon, we've all done human sacrifice.
Britney should be applauded for her unconventional attempt at finding herself. Girls should be rallying behind Britney, showing their support for her courage and thwarting convention.
Britney, you go girl!
