Queen of the street Vera Duckworth stamped her foot down last night when ITV bosses offered to 'let her go' with a tidy redundancy package.

The move has been planned since 1996 but what with all them body guards and that luminous orange lipstick Corra executives could hardly get near her. Bosses were said to be fed up with Vera's drinking and her constant popping up in scenes and making her own lines up even if she wasn't supposed to be in them.

They finally confronted Vera or Liz or madam punishment or whatever it is these days, we can hardly keep up. Once told the over permed star was reported to have thrown a fit as well as the green room table shouting "I'm not for sale, you might be able to buy off the likes of bet, Mavis and Spider but I've got my principles, and my Jack"

There's still more to come on this story I'm sure, its said that the rest of the Corra cast want rid because they are frightened for there lives, Hayley hasn't moved from the corner table in Roy's Rolls she just sits there quivering in her red anorak chanting "I'm a laydee, a very pretty laydee...."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
