A renowned political cartoonist has recently purchased a famous internet image board known for its dark humor and political incorrectness.
The political cartoonist has had hard times with their career as a political cartoonist due to the lack of need for political cartoonist by popular news outlets and because the political cartoonist humor wasn't very funny. Upon attempting to make their work known to others without working for a news outlet, the political cartoonist has been said to have had controversial issues with an even more controversial entity, an image board.
The image board features around a few million unique viewers a day with about ten-thousand active viewers on at any given time. The culture in this image board is very similar throughout the board, filled with hate, racism, and bigotry. When the political cartoonist was subject to the community on this image board, the community had scrutinized the cartoonist work and created fabrications of the real works, turning the works of the cartoonist into antisemitic cartoons while leaving the cartoonist signature.
What seems like harmless fun to some could turn into someone else's worse nightmare. The political cartoonist was attempting to reveal the exploitation's of businesses which receive subsidies from various political leaders who they funded the campaigns of in order to receive those subsidies. Those same businesses also fund public media outlets in a conglomerate like manner and indirectly could dictate as a whole, whatever amount they want a federal bank, to print. Because of this, the political cartoonist knew they needed a new outlet for their political cartoons and turned to the internet. Little did they know that the internet has a form of corruption of its own, a strength in numbers community from an image board which once the first stone is thrown, they all begin throwing stones forever.
The political cartoonist reputation was destroyed and they were known as the person who created antisemitic cartoons, even being called antisemitic on a live news feed about a riot which was triggered by local racism and social unrest. The saying of when you cannot beat them, join them, was the philosophy this cartoonist stood by as they decided to begin being tolerant of an intolerant community in order to better understand what was causing this community to do such a thing. Upon doing so, the cartoonist has received more sells in paintings, books, and shirts, then ever before.
After hiring a professional social engineer, the political cartoonist had contacted the former owner of the website, who had fled the website out of legal claims being sent by the political cartoonist, but, has yet to actually find someone to purchase the website which acts as the internet's glass cannon. The social engineer informed the cartoonist of how simple minded and easy to manipulate the members of the community are and after month of work, the social engineer successfully turned a lemon into lemonade. The cartoonist decided that it would be a good investment and decided to make a deal with the owner of the image board. After hours of formulating a deal, the cartoonist finally came to an agreement with the owner of the image board and the owner has given a receipt and rights to both the name of the image board and the servers of the image board.
Through success comes responsibility. The responsibility of the new owner of the image board which they claim to be their mission, is, and I quote," To turn the internet rogue into a dark knight". Social experiments where put into practice only hours after the cartoonist took control over the website and within a few days, the cartoonist has managed to use their new website to increase revenue both through donations for the website and for their hobby of drawing political cartoons labelled controversial by people who just don't want to take responsibility for the effects of their actions.
The political cartoonist promises to use the website for both exposing the federal bank and political parties involved in the exploitation, as well as contributing to social science and engineering in a way never before possible until now. A new feature for example, is being added to the website for people who have the most influence over other people. This feature adds to the already existing ban feature, but, the influences not only receive a permanent ban, they also unlock a secret board that only they have access to called /ban/. Users of /ban/ can only post in one topic at a time. New topics are created when the old topic reaches a certain limit in messages, but, images aren't allowed and each topic is a random topic someone else posted, allowing for banned users to still have access to the websites features. The experiment will reveal that the difference between cultural change is really just a minority of intelligent individuals who exploit the natural stupidity of the public at large.
