Plebs, who'd have 'em?

London, UK - Sporting a Saving Mr Banks mustache and matching rictus grin a London police officer caught impersonating Hollywood actor Tom Hanks made headline news this morning in the notorious and long-running 'Plebgate' saga.

PC Keith Wallis, 69, finally admitted he'd made stuff up regarding a foul mouthed - and very public - contretemps outside the British seat of power No 10 Drowning Street last year, since dubbed by the UK media the 'Plebgate' affair.

Several very expensive public inquiries and millions of pounds later the feckless Met officer has confessed to lying about things during a televised press conference today.

Baffled viewers then jammed TV station switchboards demanding to know why they were showing a new Tom Hanks movie trailer in the middle of reporting of the 'Plebgate' saga.

"All I could see was a Hanks-lookalike gob plastered across my smart TV screen," retired geography teacher Alf Sproggins tweeted, "bit of a cheek, considering."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
