HOLLYWOOD - Katy Perry is still heartbroken at having been dumped by John "The Player" Mayer but American Idol has just waved 20 million reasons in front of her that should at least put a bit of a smile on her pretty face.
Reports out of the Left Coast are that the big-eyed ex-wife of Russell "The Stare" Brand has been offered $20 million plus a $6,000 gift certificate to the Giggling Guacamole Restaurant in Beverly Hills to appear as a judge on the granddaddy of all music reality shows.
Mariah Carey has already accepted one of the judges roles after asking for and getting $18 million but once she finds out that Katy was offered $2 million more she is not going to be a happy camper to say the least.
The totally ironic part is that Perry did not even ask for the job much less for any amount.
According to iRumors Perry surprisingly informed American Idol executives that she was not interested in being a judge on the show.
Katy said that she just wants to take some time away from the Hollywood limelight. She revealed that she is still quite devastated at having been ambushed by Russell Brand who filed divorce papers on her this past December 30.
The 27-year-old Perry pointed out that now that Mayer has dumped her she is really feeling depressed and the ordeal has put one heck of a dent in her female ego.
She commented that now she knows exactly how General Custer felt at The Battle of The Little Big Horn.
Perry told Zydeco Dupree with iRumors that she has become somewhat gun shy and she is beginning to feel that maybe she is not as gorgeous or as sexy as she thinks she is.
In A Related Story. John Mayer, who was really upset at Taylor Swift when she attacked him by writing a song "Dear John" about him, says that he is planning on paying her back by recording a song called, "Conniving Taylor - The Kennedy Chaser."
