WASHINGTON, D.C. - Loretta L. Luftnagle, a spokesperson for The Vampire Diaries, has just informed the entertainment media that Vice-President Joe Biden has agreed to appear in an upcoming episode of the popular television series.
Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev was reportedly thrilled when she heard the news. She stated that she knows that the shows producer Manolo Middlezuck had been trying to get the vice-president to appear on the show since last summer.
Dobrev pointed out that Vice-President Biden had actually been scheduled to have appeared in the toxic waste chemical spill episode.
That episode featured Heidi Montag as Sultana Garlickina, the bipolar, bisexual ex-girlfriend of Alaric Saltzman, who is portrayed by Matthew Davis.
But the vice-president regrettably had to cancel his appearance on the show due to the fact that the Senate Food Stamp Hearings over which he was presiding ran three days longer than originally expected.
Ian Somerhalder spoke with Sangria Wine of TV ClickerWorld and informed her that the vice-president will be appearing in the episode in which his character named Vito Vitafellino comes into Mystic Falls, Virginia under the government's Witness Protection Program.
Vitafellino is actually Giovanni "Itchy Fingers" Doratelli who was one of the top hitmen in the Salvatore Goombalini mob family in Brooklyn.
The vice-president says that he can hardly wait to fly out to Los Angeles and film his scenes and take Miss Dobrev to a local Burger Bandit like he promised her.
FOOTNOTE: According to Ms. Luftnagle Vice-President Joe Biden will be donating his entire Vampire Diaries pay check to the White House Backyard Tree House Fund which will be used to remodel Malia and Sasha Obama's White House tree house.
