I just love Twitter. It's so easy to use and is great for publicity. Most important, it forces users to write concisely.

Victor, that's enough characters for a Charles Dickens novel.

(mind you, I think Dickens would have been abit of a twitterererer (stop that! - Ed.), if he'd been alive now, which he isn't.

But you wouldn't have enough room in the twitter box even to list the characters.

Unless they all had names that were only one letter long.

Of course, I could be missing something.

On a related note, it is possible to write a novel in 200 words, which is an interesting exercise in being concise.

Colonel Twitterer, Dickensian to be sure. Always standing in the way of progress.

I believe in the land of Phong the alphabet has 356 characters and most people have one-character names.

Twitter - here here skoob! So much banal tripe who wants to know what is happening on a minute by minute basis to nondescript saddos? Even if Stephen Fry twitters I really cant think why.

I am not a Twit.

(Some who know me beg to differ, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

Could we gather them all into one large Twit of the Year competition?
