I'm making a pot of tea and everyone can have whatever biscuit they want.
But which one? Hmmmm? I'm having one of those ring-shaped chocolate ones with the jelly-like star on top. PS: I am also making coffee and I have a pot of milk boiling too. Get your orders in unless your on a diet or just not bothered. |

SFO, a biscuit cutter? Sure them biscuits would break your teeth!
Back to edible bisucits: There are several kinds of shortbread biscuits that I have a certain, how shall I put it....'fondness' for. I like the real buttery ones. I like white chocolate biscuits. I don't like dark chocolate (remember that when I come to your house next time). |

Jaffa Cakes for the Mudder from another, er, mother.
I once had a jaffa cake fixation. I would pick off all the chocolate first, then carefully remove the orangey bit and eat that and then - and only then - nibble that delicious sponge base. |

I admire a culture that will stop whatever it's doing and sit down for a nice cuppa.
Over here biscuits aren't sweet. The good ones are made with buttermilk and you eat them with thick sausage gravy over them. Or jelly, they're both fine choices really. |

Oh, and since you've already got it brewing I'll have some coffee please.
I like my coffee like I like my men: old, black and bitter. |

urrrr, I can eat vast quantities of just about any kind of biscuit with a cup of tea (followed by many more) ... as Peter Gabriel might say "No Self Control". Lest not on the cookie/biscuit front. |

Horniman's Tea for me!
Apparently John Horniman was one of the last men to ride to work on a black horse in full Quaker costume. |

Be careful!!
You're all unwittingly tampering with some very powerful forces. We are in danger of getting stuck in the maelstrom of a feedback loop, considering the recent digression of this biscuit thread into the area of tea preferences:

One hot Rev. Al Sharpton coming up for you then, Mdme Bitters.
Tcoah, Erskin and others, I hope you enjoyed the drink and biscuits. We should do this again. Like right now. What's all this nonsense about not having sweet biscuits? A biscuit that is not sweet is a lump of dough. And gravy on top? Get the fuck! I have a big tin of biscuits on my lap right now if anyone wants to reach in and grope about for a tasty treat. Hello SFO, I have discovered that I like my biscuits round or at least with no sharp edges. Others say they like theirs plain or that they simply do not understand actually eating biscuits at all. My former lover Queen Mudder likes her's wet and squishy in the middle with a soft bottom and a nice hard crispy coating on top. Tcoah will have it any way at all - just so long as it ends up in the mouth, I presume. What does they all mean, you may ask? I'll tell you: It means its time for more tea and biscuits, thats what. Drinking alcohol with someone is fake. You drink alcohol with someone so that you can forget being with them or to make them appear slightly more touchable or bearable. Tea and biscuits is different. It is about being comfortable in somebody's company with no hidden agenda. Friendship may begin with alcohol but a lasting friendship continues with tea and biscuits. Kettles on, pot of milk is on, tin of biscuits on my lap. Help yourself (yourslef) |

Hi Jesus just wondering is it just biscuits you like or do you like hot cross buns. There will be plenty of hot cross buns available in a few weeks time.

I have never eaten one.
A 'bun', I mean, not a hot cross bum. I am looking forward to having a cup of tea and an Easter Egg. But that must wait until a man gets tortured, crucified and die. As soon as Barry's done that then it will be chocolate Egg time. |

Did you hear about the football player called Jesus who played in the last World Cup. Great player but was absolutely hopeless with CROSSES. |

Only just now. Tee hee hee. Why did the Virgin Mary give out to Jesus on the cross? Because he was biting his nails. Best to stick to the tea and biscuits. I have my eye on a nice white chocolate one with a drizzling of milk choclate over it and a fine, crispy biscuity centre. If Freud pops round for a cup of tea I might ask him about my love of Boudoir biscuits. Or maybe not. |
