Its Burns day today so there will be people going to Burns suppers to celebrate the life of the Scottish poet Robert Burns. At Burns suppers they serve Haggis and its not to long ago that people actually holidayed in Scotland and asked where they could hunt for the Haggis. Have a look at the story
Hunting Haggis In The Highlands.

Burns night is my favourite night of the year.

But then, I am an arsonist.

At least I think that's what they called me.

Hey Spectrum, love your city - lived there some 3 years - in the West End and for a wee time across the Clyde in Govan. Loved it, cherished my time in Glasgow. Do miss Glasgow (not the snow though which was the strangest snow, very hard to make decent snowballs with it) - in the winter of '93 maybe, it snowed and I watched a few Asian students try to make snowballs out of the snow - they were so excited, poor things - I didn't have the heart to tell them that it was the worst snow for making snow balls I had ever seen. Still, Glasgow's wet weather made short of the snow.

I like Haggis. It's lovely.

The wife dug one out of the old freezer yesterday when we were transferring stuff to the new freezer. (Sorry Fergus)

It said 'Best before Jan 2008' on the label.

Will it still be fit to eat?

Regards

Skoob.

Jo: been eating the German equvalent for years...a regional dish from Bremen area:

Pinkelwurst is a thick, foot-long German sausage made with beef fat, pork fat, onions, oat groats, water, and spices. It is typically cooked in water.

Here they eat anything as long as you serve it with cabbage.

Let the wind blow high

Let the wind blow low

Through the streets wi' ma kilt I'll go

All the lassies say HELLO!

Donald where's your troosers!

Andy Stewart - The White bastard Heather Club.

Ashamed to admit that I knew that.

He sang 'Ho Doctor Findlay' and 'A Scottish Soldier' and 'you tak the high road and I'll tak the low road, and I'll be in Scotland afore ye'

I was abused as a child.
