Snowed in today.

Bad news is it's my day off.

Mrs Skoob had to abandon the car at work last night and come home by train. I walked her home from the station. Transport is chaos but it was lovely last night to see whole families out building snowmen and taking pictures. And so quiet and peaceful.

Global warming my arse!

Regards

Skoob.

Snowed in?!

You bunch of wimps! We got plenty of snow here. The trains still run, the airports are open and the roads are cleared each night.

Snowed in! No chance.

But the new year celebrations do last for 10 days!

I went outside and got the mail a few minutes ago, wearing a short sleeved shirt. My son and wife did not wear jackets to school this morning (she's a teacher).

I generally love our mild winters and hate snow.

It's also much nicer to see women have to disrobe because of the weather than to have to see them put more clothing on....nothing looks sexy in a parka!

As Abel would say....Viva la heat!

Yep, more bloody snow bollox in London.

Hampstead Heath's covered in masses of weird animal foot/paw printss, makes me wonder WTF is nesting in the thickets.

And the lake in Regent's Park is solid with ice, absolutely no chance of taking a sneaky potshot at the huge koi carp that have been living in the waters for the last few years.

Snowmobiles buzzing the fields down the street right now... I'm jealous. Cooking dinner now, then off to fire up the 24 inch snowblower. 6-12 inches tonight in parts of the MW....

Hey Cap,

I can just imagine Frankie walking down the street over here, with his hands behind his back, snarling at the snow...

And the snow just melting away under the onslaught...

Or something.

Skoob.

You can use kitty litter as traction grit on your sidewalks but it makes a mess once you track it into the house.

Be safe.

Thanks for that Doc.

I read about that in the paper. We have wood floors, and the mess takes an eternity to clean up, apparently.

I worked the Frankie thing into a story. Frankie the Snow Grumbler.

Later.

My snow tribute story was that one about the snow plough collapsing while gritting the queen's vagina.

Do you read Terry Pratchett? It brings to mind 'Foul old Ron' who shuffles around muttering "Buggrit buggrit buggrum buggrum".
