Here's something really amazing - our generation's Mozart.

This little girl was only six when this story ran:

To quote J.P.McEnroe:

"You cannot be serious!"

But then that's music. One man's meat is another man's poison. That's partially what makes it so interesting. Mrs Skoob was a singer, and we argue all the time about music.

I think Beyonce looks absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, but I don't rate her at all as a singer.

Regards

Skoob.

what is your opinion of "pink"?

i think she is far and away the best of the current group of girl singers.

she reminds me a lot of joan jett back in the day and a little of janis joplin before even that.

i don't think she has ever done a song i have not immediately fallen in love with.

Smurfette,

If you think Pink is the greatest of this generation of female singers, then you have not heard Hayley Westenra.

Here's a you tube video you may want to watch from the Capitol Fourth Celebration of 2008. She's a New Zealand girl, but is quickly climbing in world wide sales and now performs with Celtic Woman:

oops, to quote the music man, i need to "watch my phraseology",

i obviously should have written my comment about pink in regards to the current crop of girl singers OF POP MUSIC

as i have written elsewhere, celtic woman is absolutely amazing

and this girl has an incredible voice

it kind of reminds me of when josh groban was introduced

there is no comparison between classically trained singers and those involved in popular music

but that doesn't mean i personally don't derive a good deal of pleasure from listening to both.

Correction, Jagged:

Dante wrote The Divine Comedy, not The Three Musketeers.

The Three Musketeers was written by Alexander Dumas.

With you with Marley. As a student my apartment neighbours never liked his music as much as I did.

When our kids had colic his music seemed to calm them, must have been the beat, told their doctor that it worked.

It's OK guys, everybody makes mistakes, I don't know who writ Thomas the Tank Engine either or Postman Pat (just about my level actually!)!

I'm 58, refuse to read anymore, except Krishnamurti, Ghandi
and some super Spoofs!

As for VC, yes Bob Marley is certainly therapeutic, even Godly!!

when my son jacob was an infant, i used to two step around the apartment with him to "true blue" by madonna; i guess the love of music and dance stuck with him, because he danced his baby girl to sleep every night to bob marley

different time, different genre, but same sentiment and same result

Most music is noise pollution and most musicians are self-indulgent bastards, I must admit I do like a bit of Floyd or Zep at times.

Now here's a Spoofer I could really take to!

Fancy a wild lunchtime out at the Gosport Submarine Museum, Hot Pants News Girl Chick?

Followed by a fascinating time at the Arundel Museum of Flotsam?

Thought not.

What's wrong with the females on this website?

No interest in submarines I suppose.

Tragic really.

Scorned,

Skoob.

Submerging with the new (JB lookalike!) hairy hot panted one certainly could appeal to our most reverent one, Fergy (not the Glaswegian version BTW 0-5!)

his arms and knees are open for anything including a certain SFO (Sad Fucking Ostrich)!
