Well put, my child. You are indeed a fine young man. A fine, strapping young altar boy.
I have a space on my float for you this St. Patrick's Day if you're interested.

Sorry Pat I had a bad experience with cardinal P D O'Fael on the boys' club outing.

If they're red one's....

They'll look like O'Fael's holy gonads did by the time my dad had finished with him - he looked quite completely excommunicated afterwards(we always were a non-conformist family)

Skoob,

Some others that I would recommend"
The Dortmunder series of comedy mysteries by Donald E. Westlake
Rocket Boys by Homer Hickam (a coming of age story that is the basis for the movie October Sky)
River God and The Seventh Scroll by Wilbur Smith
To Your Scattered Bodies Go by Phillip Jose Farmer (what if everyone who ever lived on the earth from prehistoric times until now were all resurrected along a river bank at the same time?)

The Master and Margarita, by Bulgakov is my favourite Russian novel.

And, no I don't want to look at Prince Phillip.

Hear hear on the Greek fellow.

Isn't that book the one Sympathy for the Devil by the Stones is supposed to be based on?

Indeed it is. Jagger was introduced to the book and liked it so much...

Not offering, asking.

I love a good read, anything will do. Fiction/non fiction, any category.

Try The Life of Pi.

I tried this one on recommendation from 4 other people who also thoroughly enjoyed it.

Haven't read that, but I have seen the Pasolini film 'Salo or the 120 days of sodom', which is quite an experience!

The best book you can read - and the only book you should read - is the sacred HOLY BIBLE.
I prefer mine in parchment and illustrated by 8th century island monks but the ones you get in hotel rooms are fine.

It informs my every thought and gesture. Indeed today it told me what to wear to the shops:

And why are you anxious about what to wear? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow;
they toil not,
neither do they spin.
And yet I say to you,
that even Solomon in all his glory
is not arrayed like one of these.

- Matthew 6:28-29

So, as you can guess, I wore a giant flower.
Floral patterns are 'in' this year.

You are indeed wise, St. Patrick.

Wouldst thou that I should touch this garment, lest I be healed?

Well put, me lad.
On the subject of books and sadomasochistic practices, it would be helpful if the original poster made it clear what his preferences are. 'Fiction/non-fiction' is a bit bloody vague.
What section of the library interests you?
Philosophy? Music? Military History? Celebrity Biography Horror? Cooking?
If you have chosen all of the above then I still highly recommend The Holy Bible. It also comes in audio version (available during mass at your local church).
