Why is Russian back to front?

It's to do with mirrors.


St Cyril was a big fan of mirrors. He had loads of them around the monastery. One of his scribes copied down what he thought was a new alphabet.


Don't worry, it's all coursework now. Exams are banned because you need to be smart to pass them and the thick are discriminated against.

Cyril was very orthodox until a sudden late conversion (possibly at Murrayfield). Hence the phrase "Nice one Cyril"
