Crew: I figure about 6500 words just about should do it...that will insure that no one will take the time to read it...actually, we should add up the total # of words written, just for the hell of it, but only each of our writer's desk can tell us...then they would have be added up by the CPA....I may start a thread tomorrow and put in my total for the 3 stories if anyone wants to add theirs...might be interesting as trivia, if nothing else.
Pressure! Pressure is coming back to the ship after wenching all over Paris after their surrender, and finding Piebottom lying in your rack demanding an all night right good frosting! We can only try. Queen and Country, Morse |

J-man
I have no idea. I just think it's been a lovely journey. Please accept my personal thanks for being a part of it. I think we proved something by pulling this off. I'm not sure what it is exactly that we did prove, but it runs something along the lines of co-operation. As I said before. You're a star. Kindest Regards Skoob |

My single, solitary chapter came in at 1490 words.
And as for you, Morse, you know as well as I that there's no rest for the wicked. That's why I'm so tired all the time. So why don't you splash some cold water on your face, get a pot of coffee going and swipe some of the Jman's Tabasco, chili powder and other spicy condiments. You got a long night ahead of you, my friend. |

Hi chaps,
Mine were 1347 for chapter 7 and 2612 for chapter 16, so 3959 in total. But that probably includes the links to previous episodes etc. Good luck with the finale, Cap'n, and thanks to you & Skoob for setting this up and everyone who contributed. I suppose now I won't have an excuse for my breakfast bottle of rum anymore. YoHoHo Roy |

Pissgums! Happy Hunting at Publix! Don't forget all the trimmins' and especially the stuffin'. Never had the pleasure of calling in a turkey...but you write for this site you never know who you may lure in...Skoob used a turkey call, and wound up with a mucky duck....still dead, though! (great shootin' Skoob!) Morse |

If an average novel of 300 pages at 300 words per page is 90,000 words I reckon the Pirate Story is about one third as long.

Thanks Earl!
Doc: we have alot in common with Melville as well, as I said on here somewhere before, he only sold 6 copies of Mopy Dick during his lifetime...but at least we know we're leaving a legacy...sparse as it is! Hard to believe we only got 1/2 point per page! Morse |

Funny Morse, I was thinking of Moby Dick as well. Time to name the thing now, any suggestions? |

I printed the pages out and bound them into a book and made a front cover using crayon drawings and cut-outs. I call it my 'Pirate Cofee Table Book!'
So far, I have autographed two copies! One to my grandmother who thinks I'm a literay genius, and one to some drunk English-kinda-guy with a cheesy thin moustache and loopy grin on his face. |

Good idea, maybe we can donate it to the Boy Scouts to sell as a fund raiser in front of Wallmarts.

Actually Smergus, I WAS going to refinance, but the buggers wanted ME to give THEM points, and I had to do 35 pages of writing to qualify, and needless to say they wouldn't take 22 chapters of an unfinished novel as collateral especially when 12 of the writers were undocumented..... You must have paid cash and all with your recent move and the big sting at the Irish Bank and all....how's that working out? Morse |
