Gordon Brown - My Fake Diary
Wednesday, 22 August 2012
In my column two weeks ago, I praised the principles of local businessman Len Houwers, describing them as "refreshing" and "common sense" (my favourite term when he doesn't have an argument to support his position).
Houwers' principles include: You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity!
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving!
At first glance, this looks like the usual stuff of the wealthy and the powerful who think they owe nothing to the communities from which they come and who wish to hoard their wealth.
I suppose it is really!
