I was sat with the wife Justine, and our angel-faced sons Samuel (2), and Daniel (3), I was discussing the Labour Party problems with the missus, and said: The problem with my job is, having to follow that hard, insulting Gordon Brown. Never mind the Coalition.

Gordon was nasty, impatient, solicitous, and unlistening. And look what happened to the party!

I am just too mild natured and caring to do this job really, and not being a bully holds me back to.

Then three-year-old Daniel, chipped in; "It's a bugger Daddy innit?"
