Somerset Family-run food services business L&F Jones has handed over a cheque for more than £55,000 to Kidney Research UK.

During 2011 the Midsomer Norton-based business celebrated its centenary year and wanted to mark the anniversary by giving something back to a good cause.

As members of the Jones family have been affected by a genetic form of kidney disease, Kidney Research UK was the firm's top choice.

In true family spirit, the Jones clubbed together to hold an array of fundraising activities throughout the year, including golf days, a family fun day and charity walks.

The company also published a celebrity cookbook with recipes donated from stars including Phil Collins and Myself - and I was proud to help!
