In an interview with international correspondents, UN President Kofi Anan expressed his content with the Cyprus plan presented to the Greek and Turkish Cypriot delegations.
"The plan is a masterpiece. My plan proposes two governmental groups, two population segments, two election procedures, two armies, two police forces, two parliaments, inability of free movement, quotas on visiting terms, restrictions on the free movement of capital and the presence of Greek and Turkish soldiers on Cypriot soil for the next 20 years… If this is not a workable simple plain vanilla unification then what? " Anan boasted." I urge both parties to sign the deal immediately" Anan concluded before vanishing into thin air.
