(Los Angeles, CA) -- Former US Senator John Edwards (D-NC) running for the Democratic nomination for President took time today to explain his $400 haircut in Los Angeles. "If I were back in the Senate," Edwards explained, "Sandy Cannon would give me an even better haircut for $22." Edwards described the loss of good quality hair care as one of the major disadvantages of losing his Senate seat.
"As a United States Senator you can effect national policy to improve and safe guard the lives of millions of Americans. You also get a good staff of bright people, a cool office, and the best health care. But above all, you get a great hair cut at a great price, especially if you can get on Sandy's appointment book," said the former Senator with a wistful look in his eye sporting a fair looking $400 haircut.
"Sandy," Edwards said, "call me." Ms. Cannon could not be reached for comment.
