Jan 13th UPS - In a recent nationwide survey, US citizens were asked if they felt concerned about "Global Warming" and the possible weather changes related to this phenomenon.
Fifty-eight percent said that Global Warming was an important topic and the related weather changes could affect the USA.
Those who replied "Yes" were then asked what, if anything, they felt they could do about Global Warming...
23% percent responded "Yes", they could do something about it, whilst 66% said: .."Right now I am in a hurry and will talk to you about it later..". The remaining 11% replied that they were "worried about it", but were unsure what the term "Global Warming" meant and probably couldn't do anything about it anyway.
Respectively, of those who respondedthat they felt they could do something about Global Warming, 49% replied that they would happily throw away their old air-condition systems and would upgrade to a more "Hi-Tech", efficient A/C system, and 38% replied that they would simply turn up the A/C that they had presently installed and just "tough it out". Eleven percent said that they would watch for new research developments and act accordingly, and 2% replied that they would watch the stock-market.
Eighty-seven percent of those Americans showing concern about Global Warming resided in southern "dry" states such as Arizona and Texas, and 85% of the people living in Maine who were interviewed replied that they felt that Global Warming was "..just great!"
