Washington DC - Speaking to reporters outside the George Town branch of the Cool Dudes Cafe President Obama repeated his condolence mantra last expressed in the wake of the tragic shooting of Sanford, Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in 2012.
"Yeah," Obama commented, "if I had a son - uh, another hypothetical son! - like my Trayvon Martin, I guess he would look a lot like Mr Mark Duggan."
The presidential remarks come as shocked members of the Brit public begin a series of threatened protests following an inquest jury's verdict into the police shooting of London gangster Mark Duggan that exonerated the shooter.
Duggan's August 2011 death was deemed a 'lawful killing' in a 8-2 majority verdict, stunning the deceased's family and community activists alike.
A police marksman fired two shots that killed the alleged gangster after mistaking his hand-held Blackberry for a Colt 45.
The killing sparked horrendous Inner City riots up and down the country that some have blamed on the police.
Fortunately for Mr Obama neither Brit national Duggan nor Floridian Trayvon Martin were ever tested for DNA to prove or disprove the President's paternity hunch.
Michelle Obama will be 69 next Tuesday.
