Washington AC/DC - The US State Department has learned of a British plot to get rid of Barack Obama's newly appointed Ambassador to the Caught of St James's, Matthew 'Mr Potato Head' Barzun.
The 42 year-old New Yorker has horrified his well-heeled neighbors in London's Regent's Park amid rumors he only rose to fame and fortune as movie actor John Goodman's goofy stuntman/body double in the 1994 box office smash hit The Flintstones.
The movie starred Goodman in the lead role of Fred Flintstone whom Barzun resembles from certain angles according to residents who saw his large, wobbly rear during a jog in the Park last Sunday.
"Could have sworn I heard him call his wife 'Wilma', heheh," Chester Terrace hedge fund manager Harvey Loadsadosh commented, "not a bad looker either apart from all that botox."
This week a petition signed by 5,000 locals has asked for Barzun to be replaced with a bona fide diplomat after a campaign outing the envoy as little better than yet another second hand car dealer -like predecessor Robert 'Katie' Holmes Tuttle.
Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg is 69.
