Was it her?

There are serious doubts tonight over the colour of the hair of a mystery blonde.

The doubts arose after a mystery blonde was seen buying a well-known hair colouring brand in a Superdrug store.

Lysette Peroxide, of Sandal, Wakefield, raised questions when she witnessed the transaction at the city-centre store.

"I couldn't believe it," said Ms Peroxide. "I was in Superdrug to buy some cotton-wool balls and some Mum deodorant when I saw this mystery blonde at the hair colouring section. She picked up a packet of Garnier Nutrisse, took it to the check-out, paid and left the store.

"If you ask me, this throws doubt on her being a mystery blonde and I think there should be an investigation. I mean - we could all colour our hair and pretend to be a mystery blonde, couldn't we?

"Are the public being misled? We must have action now."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
