Isaac Newton is the brain-box who discovered that apples fall from trees.

A team from the University of Norwich have completed a four-year study into gravity and have discovered 12 "gravity hot spots" in the British Isles. In these areas, gravity appears to be stronger than "standard" gravity.

British Gravity, long recognised to be the finest gravity in the world, stands at 32 feet-per-second-squared. In the 12 hot-spots identified by the team, it varies between 26 and 36 feet-per-second-squared.

This ground-breaking discovery, which has cost over 3 million pounds, will have absolutely no impact on life whatsover for anybody. Ever.

At one of the places mentioned we spoke to Simon Unwin, a builder. When told of the University's discovery, he claimed that he had dropped a hammer from roof level yesterday, and it had "seemed to take longer to hit the ground."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
