Peanut butter, the latest big thing in a recession hit economy has come under fire from none other than Tory Party leader David 'Do Nothing Dave' Cameron and was the reason for heated exchanges at PM Question Time.
PM Gordon Brown came out in support for the crunchy or smooth type savoury spread insisting that its use was wholesome and healthy and should be widely supported.
Before admitting that it was probably not too beneficial for nut allergy sufferers.
Do Nothing Dave then lambasted the PM, describing the spread as 'chav food.' He went on:
'Peanut butter plays havoc with the digestive system, particularly when mixed with strawberry jam. Only last week in Dagenham thousands of drains were blocked following a stellar outbreak of peanut butter abuse. The system couldn't cope. So what does the Prime Minister have to say about that?'
Gordon Brown cleared his throat before responding in the style of Rab C Nesbitt:
'I will tell you this boy! I saved the world this week! The WORLD! What did you do? NOTHING!!!'
Sales of peanut butter have been unaffected.
