Oh, Niles, you split my side

Councillors in a sleepy little Hamlet in England are to recognise an official public holiday, in honour of TV character Frasier Crane.

The pompous physchiatrist, brother, and dog lover, played by Kelsey Grammer is to have his official day in the hamlet on July 6th. Speaking to us earlier, Councillor Jimmy Saville (no relation to the flamboyant, and old DJ) had this to say:

'Many of the local councillors are fans of Frasier, with it's witty jokes, and one liners, and repartee. We felt that it would be an excellent way to cheer up the villagers, they often get down at this time of year. The tourists come in, and spread Jam and Butter in the way that most people spread trouble. We also have a Roz Doyle Fashion Parade. A lot of people like to put on fancy make-up and wear long dresses and skirts, and look a bit glam. We usually look down at that type of thing here, but it does not to any harm.

Most of the wives don't like it though, because the husbands ask to wear their dresses, and that is when their clothes get ruined, but it is a small prize to pay for unity within the village'

None of the Millionaire cast members will be in attendence.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
