Famous Irish BBC sports presenter, Des Lynham, was sectioned last night after running naked through the Sunday Tomes offices after an argument with Sunday Tomes writer, Donny Clarkson.
During an interview for a travel section article about the best views in the UK, Well, in my view..., Lynham nominated The Seven Sisters, Sussex, as his favourite view, he is quoted as saying "These cliffs sum up everything that makes Britain great".
Speaking to Clarkson earlier today he stated " He started spurting this crap about cliffs embodying what makes Britain great, I questioned him on this and he just flipped. He told me to P*** Off you Yorkshire T*** to which I retorted P*** Off yourself you great tosspot. He then stripped down and started running about he offices with his tackle hanging out, I thought he might have someone's eye out.... It was just like Frank Bough all over again."
The authorities were called and after a 10 hour siege Lynham was led away in a straight jacket.
My Lynam's agent is quoted as saying "Des will be sorry that his new book release will be overshadowed by this event. His book, I was on the telly a lot, at just £10.99 is great value.
