Opus Dei: "procurement of peerages, embezzlement and drive-by shootings"

London - (Rotters): Controversial religious S&M aficionado group Opus Dei has complained bitterly that the BBC's portrayal of them as 'murderers, thieves and adulterers' has missed out several vital accomplishment refinements which have given them world status on a par with other major Bush Family affiliates namely procurement of peerages, embezzlement and drive-by shootings.

The group has filed an official complaint to the Broadcasting Standards Council demanding an immediate clarification of all their contributions to international organised crime statistics following over 100,000 viewers' accusations that the BBC drama 'Waking the Dead' portrayed Opus Dei as relatively minor players in the global crime pandemic.

An Opus Dei spokesman as said that "justifying a cover up of evil actions while hiding behind a veneer of hypocritical piety and penitential rituals of self-flagellation" was an integral deal-breaker with the Blair Administration and should be honored and celebrated under the BBC's public service broadcasting charter "and not reviled like some Channel 4 reality TV racist-bash-fest".

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
