A doctor almost drowned in what was described as a 'freak puddle' in Gloucester. Dr Mesut Foster was visiting the city on Tuesday when he stepped into the puddle, which was said to have been caused by a burst water main.
An eye-witness said 'I saw this peculiar looking guy in a top hat with water almost up to his chest, shouting for help'.
Three passers-by managed to pull the doctor to safety.
Dr Foster later said: 'There had only been a light shower of rain so I wasn't expecting the puddle to be so deep, it went right up past my middle.'
He expressed his disappointment that so many people walked by without coming to his aid at first.
'Let's just say I wont be visiting that shit hole again!' He said.
