The LibDem Spring Conference brought little comfort for beleaguered Coalition Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg after he collapsed on the rostrum. Urgent 999 calls were diverted to the AA after the Police and Hospital Service were unable to assist.
The AA complained that if Clegg was not an alcoholic they could not help but sent a car to drive him to the nearest Hospital.
Unfortunately the car was delayed by a Demonstration to save the National Health Service outside the LibDem Conference centre and Clegg, with Vince Cable valiantly tring to save Clegg from disaster, was unable to find a pulse anywhere in Clegg's body.
The full HORROR of the episode was recorded and has proved a hit on YouTube in Hospitals throughout the country. One nurse said she was 'worried that cuts in the Health Budget' had left Clegg 'without a leg to stand on'.
Clegg, who was eventually placed on a Hospital trolley, is awaiting an assessment from a consultant who has unfortunately lost his way whilst travelling to the Hospital.
