Irish novelty act Jedward, or 'those tedious twats' as they are better known in the music industry, are said to be delighted to have been given their first big break in film, playing the notorious East London gangsters the Krays for a movie to be shot in the spring.
The twins, real names Pinky and Perky, are said to be researching their most demanding role since stepping into a lift by studying the work of actors including Robert de Niro, Al Pacino and Timmy Mallet, who has agreed to show the twins the correct technique for assaulting children with a large hammer.
Many of the world's best actors are also believed to involved in the film, all having volunteered to show the twins the correct way to set someone in concrete and dump them from the end of a pier.
Studio bosses claim demand for this role has been so great that they have been forced to organise selection as a prize draw.
If successful, the twins are also believed to have been offered other film roles, including the remake of Midnight Express, and in the role of 'Piggy' in the film Deliverance.
