Ricky Ponting, current skipper of the Australian cricket team, has announced that he is having to change his name and title to fit in with Australian trade description laws.
"My form with the bat has not been all it should be, and so these days during an innings I am never "in" for any appreciable amount of time. In fact I spend far more time being "out". The Australian trade description people have therefore forced me to change my name to Ricky Pontoutg."
He also announced that his role would no longer to be called "Captain" - but was also subject to the same spelling change to "Capt-out"
The English nation didn't care - just delighted that the ashes worm had finally turned. The rest of the world just didn't care.
