Oil Slick Causes Chaos During The Tour de France

Funny story written by Swiftly

Monday, 16 July 2012

Disruption in the middle of Stage 15 of The Tour de France as Olivier Arbre clumsily clattered off his one hundred year old bicycle, spilling the gallons of olive oil he had earlier collected from the press.

When interviewed by passing Bradley Wiggins, Olivier said: "I don't know what to say. How can I say? I was just minding my own business then this car came passed with bicycles on its roof. I mean . . . I have never seen this."

Bradley Wiggins thanked the local and continued carefully through the oil slick before speeding up towards the next corner and performing a dramatic skid to please the large gathered crowd. A passing car kindly offered Mr Wiggins a new rear tyre and the race continued.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
