After the controversial episode of the Christian Broadcasting Network's "The 700 Club," wherein American televangelist Pat Robertson wanted a Buddha statue to be destroyed, various countries in Asia added Robertson to their immigration blacklist.
For those who do not know yet, the immigration blacklist prevents a person to visit a country if his/her name is on it.
Acme Research recently released some findings regarding these various countries that blacklisted Robertson. In the Middle East, he was blacklisted on the following countries: Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Syria, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates due to a controversy for calling Islam "satanic."
Also, he was recently blacklisted in Japan, Taiwan, China, Macau, Hong Kong and the Philippines. The first five countries issued a blacklist order after the controversial 700 Club episode's anti-Buddhism actions while the latter is a Catholic country. Hence, some say that this is because it's more fun to tolerate other religions.
Heck, even our friends from the Wiccan Broadcasting Network refer to Robertson as a "great pretender" due to his religious intolerance.
The question in mind is: will the blacklisting go on around the world? It depends upon their perspective, since what I wrote here is my perspective.
