Fictional character The Invisible Man said that he cannot get enough of the attention that he is paid on a regular basis. Speaking on Richard and Judy's show last week, the famously invisible celebrity says that people are often shocked and surprised when they see him.
'I often use that star thing of wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap, but that brings attention to me more often than not. I also have problems at premieres. It is never fun to be sat on by celebrities. If it is Halle Berry or somebody, that is fine, but sometimes it is Rosie O'Donnell or Roseanne Barr, and that is never fun'
He also spoke of his difficulties in finding a suitable partner. 'Most people want a partner that they can at least see,
(The Invisible Man, yesterday) and I
would obviously find that a problem…………..
(At this point, an assistant sits on the Invisible Man, as he waits to wind down the programme)
The following is a shortened transcript of the interview
Richard Madeley ……..
So, do you feel that Chevy Chase paid you enough respect in the film?
Invisible Man…………..
No, I felt that he played my tragic tale for laughs. My story needed more Pathos. Personally, I was hoping for Albert Finney, or Tom Courtney. And that 'Hollow Man' film, don't even get me started…….
Richard Madeley………
Kevin Bacon was in that, wasn't he?
Invisible Man…………..
Yes, he was. I am the most famous Invisible Man in the world, and he did not even speak to me, you would have thought I would have been first on the list for research……. But no I was completely forgotten.
Richard Madeley………..
Maybe they just could not see you……..Do you get it?……..see you.
You are invisible.
Judy Finnegan ……….. Richard……….
The assistant is pushed to the floor, as the Invisible Man gets up to leave…..
Invisible Man………….
Madeley, you are bang out of order. I'm off, I don't come on these shows to be patronised or belittled. I have a serious medical condition, and all you can do is take the mickey out of it…….
