A Fylde man has admitted to being "baffled and completely discombobulated" by the timeline portrayed in the popular animation series The Simpsons.
Eric Poltroon, a nincompoop, of Fairhaven, Lytham St Anne's, told us: "What's with that headmaster character? That Seymour Skinner?
"Last night they repeated that episode where it is revealed that Skinner is actually tearaway Armin Tamserian, who met the real Skinner serving in Vietnam and took over his life when he returned to the United States.
"But they've also recently shown an episode where the younger Skinner was a cool dude who was turned into a stiff-ass by the ultimate prank.
"The two stories can't both be right. I was baffled and completely discombobulated by the paradox therein.
"It is clear that the producers and writers of this otherwise excellent series haven't done their research properly in this case.
"They need to exercise more care or the programme could lose it's integrity and credibility."
EIF News and Features did not bother to approach the makers of The Simpsons for a comment. Oh come on - it was Saturday night!
