The much awaited single release by Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams - a sort of Brokeback Mountain, man-love buddy-buddy homage to something or other was greeted this morning by overwhelming indifference by fans.
"Not really worth the wait," one fan said. "I mean, it's all right and all that, but it's pretty bland - we were expecting something a bit more showstopping than this."
"Shame about 'Shame'" another said. "It sounds like an off key Robson and Jerome, and they just sit there gawping at each other like star-crossed lovers."
It's 15 years since the guys worked together, and with fat Leeds Radio One DJ Chris Moyles trumpeting their return, many hope it will be another 15 years before they have at it again.
"It's drivel. Pure drivel," Skoob Entertainment News correspondent Buffty Ginslinger said as he headed for a quick early doors snifter at his Soho watering hole. "Pure shite. They sound more manufactured now, than they did when they first started out."
More as we get it.
